This instrument will maintain similar material specs to the originals Newports, including a mahogany body, mahogany set (glued-in) neck with rosewood fretboard. It will feature a tenor (23") scale length, and will include a single Warren Ellis Blade pickup.

This combination of woods, pickup and construction give the Newport a distinctive rich tone, but brighter snarlier tones are possible when played down by the bridge, rather than over the pickup. The short scale and light weight makes for a very playable instrument. Whichever stringed instrument you play, you'll feel at home on the Newport Tenor!

Features & Specifications

Body: Solid Mahogany

Pickups: Warren Ellis Blade

Scale: 23"

Width at Nut: 1 5/16"

Neck: One piece set mahogany neck.
